My Story

The career advanced.
The quiet voice grew louder.

I began as a teacher and rose to Superintendent and CEO. While my career advanced, my life expanded too: I became a wife in a blended family, then a mother. By the time my son entered kindergarten, I was leading a school as its principal.

Not long after stepping into one of the highest leadership roles in Detroit's education landscape, my husband died suddenly. Grief has a way of amplifying truths we have tried to outrun. The quiet tug I had ignored, the longing for a life that included more of me, became impossible to silence.

What I learned is that long before we recognize it, we begin to sideline pieces of our identity in pursuit of our goals. Reclamation does not always require dramatic change. Often it begins with quiet, intentional shifts that bring us back to what makes us whole.

That understanding lives in everything I do now: the executives I coach privately, the organizations I advise, and the leaders I develop. The work is different depending on who is in the room. The through line is always the same: sustainable leadership requires a person who is not running on empty.

How we work together

For Individuals

Reveal

We start by naming what is true. What has been paused, what feels misaligned, and what your life is actually asking of you right now. Most high performers have been outrunning that question for years. This is where we stop and listen.

Rebuild

We design a life strategy that is responsive and real: one that creates momentum through intentional shifts and supports bolder decisions when you are ready. Not a fantasy schedule. A plan that fits the life you are actually living.

Rise

You begin to show up for yourself with the same consistency, courage, and care you give to the people you lead and love. The work does not end here. It anchors.

For Organizations

Reveal

We start by examining what the human systems inside your organization are actually asking of the team. Where depletion is masked as high performance. Where your best leaders are delivering at a cost no one is measuring.

Rebuild

We design a performance strategy built on sustainable leadership: one that develops your people without extracting everything they have. Clearer structures, stronger culture, and leadership capacity that compounds rather than erodes.

Rise

Organizations see the difference when leaders operate from fullness instead of depletion. The outcomes show up in culture, retention, and results. That is the goal and the standard we hold.
